Bienvenue
It has been a while since I have been able to update our blog!
Students have been enjoying our Amazing Race unit. Students had an opportunity to read about the real Amazing Race France teams, which many found challenging. Once they were placed into groups, they were able to complete their Team profiles (which now adorn our classroom and the lockers in just off the foyer), and many have just completed their audition videos. You will soon see a rubric come home for you to sign that reflects your child's speaking performance in their video. I was impressed to see some of the creative ideas that were shared! We have begun our next part of the unit, which is a role play media interview. For this part of the unit, students will be working independently to answer questions about themselves in front of the class. This is a culmination of all of the practice we've had in the profiles and auditions. I'm looking forward to seeing how they do! After these are completed next week, you will see a Rubric come home of their performance. Following our media interviews students will be creating an Amazing Race themed activity which they will run for the class. This will take us right to the Christmas break! If you have any questions about your child's progress, any marks that come home or our unit of study in general, please contact me and we can discuss your concerns. À bientôt! Mme Sambol
